My chipping services

We register your details, your pet details, and chip number with a national database. Avid manufacture their chips and manage their own database, they do not use another company to manage their registrations and client details. This way it is all -in- house and any problems can be delt with the one company.

Pettrac is Avids national database, they also have contacts in European countries who inturn have their own national data bases. Pettrac have been known to contact the these countries in the hope they can reunite the pet owners with their lost animal.

Microchipping Discussion

2002, The Government proposed a scheme where every dog, and eventually every cat, to be identified by either a tattoo or microchip. When you hear about an owner's heartache when they have lost their pet or the cruelty inflicted through ignorance or just down right maliciousness do you feel sadness, anger or outrage? Good news for good owners - bad news for those that aren't. Identification means accountability.

The GCCF have stated all stud cats due for registering must be micro chipped before they will register him as entire. No kitten from his mating will be registered if he isn't chipped and breeders will be at risk of becoming fined or struck off for failing to adhere to the rules.

TICA state all cats are to be chipped before any kittens can be registered. This is the status as of now.
